Murex Wins Technology Vendor of the Year at FOW Asia Pacific Awards

Distinction honors unique experience, support and delivery model in APAC

SINGAPORE, September 23, 2025—Murex is honored to be named Technology Vendor of the Year at the FOW Asia Pacific Awards.

In a year of heightened volatility across markets, Asian financial institutions experienced increased demand for complex structured products. From callable range accruals on CMS to equity autocallables, volume and complexity are rising rapidly.

Concurrently, evolving regulations and the need for intra-day risk management intensified pressure on trading and risk infrastructures.

“The need for high-performance, integrated risk and trading systems in APAC has never been greater,” said Nick Thomas, Murex head of client services, APAC. “Murex is a key technology partner in this shift. With over 30 years of experience working and growing with clients in Asia, we have built a unique support and delivery model. We are pleased our efforts have been recognized by FOW.”

A specialist panel of experts from across the Asia Pacific region was responsible for the Technology Vendor of the Year selection. FOW’s panel features a broad representation of profiles, from exchanges, consultants and banks, among other organizations. FOW (Futures & Options World), a Derivia Intelligence subsidiary, focuses on the derivatives and trading technology industry, including banks, brokers, exchanges and tech vendors.

Nearly 23,000 users across APAC rely on the MX.3 platform across trading, risk, collateral, operations and finance. Today, 70 APAC institutions use the MX.3 platform across all asset classes, including 20 of the top 30 Asian banks, as well as smaller treasuries, neobanks and commodity firms. Eight regional centers and more than 400 consultants provide localized expertise, a major differentiator.

Last September, Murex unveiled an innovative application of artificial intelligence, designing a fit-for-purpose neural network architecture that achieved high-precision pricing and stable sensitivities at a fraction of the computational cost. For APAC financial institutions, this opens new possibilities: democratizing access to advanced models, even for smaller institutions; enabling near real-time risk views for exotic portfolios; and reducing reliance on costly GPU infrastructure amid global supply constraints.

Murex has localized solutions to meet the unique regulatory and technological demands across APAC. When clients are ready, Murex can deliver at speed.
