Murex Enters Global Top 5 of Chartis RiskTech100

Five category awards span trading, risk management, market infrastructure and AI innovation

Murex Enters Global Top 5 of Chartis RiskTech100

PARIS, October 9, 2026—Murex has entered the global Top 5 of the Chartis RiskTech100, one of the most respected independent rankings in the financial technology sector.

Along with five category wins, the result recognizes the depth of the MX.3 platform across trading, treasury, risk and operations, as well as Murex’s continued business and platform innovations.

“Entering the global Top 5 of the RiskTech100, with five category awards, is a milestone for Murex and for our clients,” said Marwan Tabet, Murex co-chief product officer.

This is Murex’s highest-ever position in the RiskTech100, reached as the company celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Murex’s independence supports a long-term approach to investment, innovation and client relationships. At a time of market volatility and rapid technological change, financial institutions value technology partners that combine stability and consistency along with constant business and operational evolution.

“Murex has made steady progress in the RiskTech100,” said Chartis Chief Researcher Sid Dash.
“Its disciplined approach to technology and business functionality, delivering mission-critical analytical, computational and processing infrastructure, has been the principal driver of that momentum.”

This year’s Chartis report recognizes Murex for its integrated front-to-back platform, consistent data model and controlled operations across trading and risk workflows. Front office, risk and operations use the same data and trade representation, from deal capture through valuation, market risk and back-office processing. This reduces fragmentation and reconciliation, while supporting real-time P&L, intraday risk measurement and limit management on one platform. By combining governed data with analytics, business context and controls, MX.3 provides a trusted foundation for applying AI with capital markets workflows.

The five MX.3 won RiskTech100 categories won are:
- Risk Data Analytics: Market Risk Platforms
- AI, Technology and Operating Model Innovation: Innovation in Markets Books of Record
- Treasury, Finance and Markets: FX Risk Management
- Treasury, Finance and Markets: Integrated Trading and Risk Management
- Treasury, Finance and Markets: IRD Lifecycle Management

These capabilities are supported by an API-first, open and extensible architecture. Clients can extend analytics, integrate proprietary models and adapt workflows as market practices evolve.

MX.3 also continues to evolve with market structure. Murex has expanded the platform's instrument coverage to digital assets and clients already use MX.3 for cryptocurrency trading and for stablecoin and central bank digital currency issuance. Chain-agnostic integration with custody providers and distributed ledger technologies allows clients to coordinate tokenization and settlement across on-chain and off-chain environments, without depending on a single network or infrastructure.

The AI, Technology and Operating Model Innovation award recognizes MX.3’s unified and auditable books of record and the broader MX.3 platform foundations as important enabler that support trusted AI adoption. By combining reliable financial data, strong data lineage, reduced reconciliation and rich business context with institutional permissions and controls, MX.3 enables AI to be deployed within controlled and governed workflows.

Building on these strengths, Murex has evolved MX.3 to support AI-enabled and agentic capabilities. This approach helps clients accelerate and make better-informed decisions, automate complex processes while keeping AI-supported recommendations and actions explainable auditable and governed.

“We are especially proud of the recognition for AI, Technology and Operating Model Innovation,” Tabet said. “We believe AI creates the greatest impact when it augments our clients’ capabilities and unlocks more value from their data, analytics and business processes within a trusted and governed platform.”

Through sustained investment and close work with clients, Murex continuously translates evolving market practices, new business opportunities, regulatory requirements and operational priorities into MX.3 capabilities that deliver lasting value. This long-term approach enables clients to improve their operations, respond to changes and adopt new technologies within one consistent and governed technology foundation.
