What inspired you to pursue a career in fintech?

Jumping into the workforce 15 years back, I found myself in the front office, where tech was just something I used without thinking much about it. Around a decade ago, I shifted gears into project management. That's when I really started to discover the fast-paced evolving landscape of IT. Exploring all these different vendors and tech solutions was like opening a treasure chest. I realized my inclination towards this dynamic intersection of technology and finance. As I worked on projects, I kept pushing for more automation, diving into innovative and efficient digital tools like OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and BI (Business intelligence). Eventually, it hit me: I wanted to deep dive into this tech-meets-finance world. I'm convinced that the future of program management is all about finding the right balance between human expertise and cutting-edge tech. When we blend the two just right, that's when the real magic happens.

What advice would you give to women considering a fintech career?

The finance game has seen some major changes over the past 15 years, especially when it comes to breaking down stereotypes about women in finance and tech. It's refreshing, isn't it? So, my advice to the women out there would be don't let the fintech world intimidate you. Jump right in! And here's a tip that's golden for everyone, not just for women: You don't have to be an expert from the beginning. I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades, and it's worked out just fine. Once you've got the basics down through some solid training, it's all about getting that practical experience and learning from the bests. Never hesitate to ask questions along the way! That's how you really grow, you know?
