As a Data and Analytics engineer, and member of the information system (IS) department,  you will be staffed on a mission where analytics is a key component whether to monitor performance through KPIs, analyze behavior and trends, detect data anomalies.

You will be working with cutting-edge technologies such as Qlik Sense, Microstrategy, Power BI, SAP EPM, Talend Enterprise data platform. Working in the data and analytics domain is a premier opportunity to work and be exposed to all the analytics life-cycle (Capturing clients’ requirements, analyzing business needs, profiling data, defining data quality rules, integrating the data, modeling the data, cataloging the data, visualizing, testing, releasing…).

 

 Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Partner with the clients (Human Resources) and collaborate with a cross functional agile team to understand clients business requirements, challenge them while proposing fit for purpose solutions and translate them into analytics specifications
  • Understand the data through defining it, its usage and profiling it
  • Design and implement data quality processes
  • Generate optimized dimensional models serving as backbone for the visualization layer
  • Define acceptance criteria, design and implement automated unit/acceptance tests for continuous integration and delivery
  • Develop and design compelling reports/dashboards focusing on great user experience and visualizations best practices
  • Integrate both analytics applications and transactional applications through APIs
  • Communicate regularly on the different deliveries and train the users on how to maximize their use of analytics
  • Member of the agile team, participate actively in all ceremonies, artifacts and formulate improvement points in the team retrospective
  • Propose new ideas and innovations, challenge the existing environment/framework/delivery process/technologies
  • Discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling
  • Work on predictive/prescriptive analytics use cases with structured and unstructured data
