The candidate will be based in Dublin but working in an international team, dealing with governing the quality of Murex code and promoting a range of industry best practices (e.g. code security, third party software management, code metrics).  This involves design and implementation of innovative tooling and processes that enhance the Murex platform and reduce development costs.  The candidate will work with multiple stakeholders across the organisation and deal with a range of technologies and languages with a particular focus on Java.

 

Responsibilities:

  • As a developer in the team, you will be responsible for development and deployment of tools that will be used across the Murex development community.
  • Development: Ability to develop high-quality, testable and maintainable code with best-practice design.
  • Team spirit & work practices: Motivation, initiative to work within a team (willing to improve work practices).  Training and support of other developers.
  • Learning: Ability to learn new technologies, development best practices and patterns.
  • Willingness to travel periodically when required for planning, training and other activities
  • Technologies: Advantageous to have experience in Java, DevOps (e.g. Jenkins), Maven.  Some knowledge of JavaScript, Groovy or C/C++ helpful but not mandatory.
  • SAFe: Experience developing in a SAFe agile train or knowledge/experience of Scrum an advantage.
