Murex devotes key resources and importance to its internship program. Internships are available throughout the year on a wide variety of subjects ranging from finance (front to back office) to technology. They can be offered during the university cycle, or at its end, possibly leading to a full time position.
The very nature of the missions we propose requires a minimum period of five months and may extend up to one year. Interns are usually in contact with a client and have real life responsibilities. As an indication, please find below the scope of typical internships which are being offered by Murex.

Client support
- Implementation and configuration (e.g. model client organization in the system, parameterise a new category of bonds, create procedures for daily operations, create hedge baskets, etc.)
- User training
- Integration within the technical environment of the client
Validation of new functionality / quality assurance
- Non regression tests (e.g. focusing on accounting module)
- Testing against reference data (e.g. market data)
- Analysis of differences (this leads to an exceptional depth in the understanding of the business)
Application design and development
- Design and development of new functionalities
- Search for information (e.g. operation of a new market or a new regulatory requirement)
- Validation of valuation models and corresponding hedge ratios
- Workflow management (organising work between different categories of users)
- Application development (JAVA & C/C++) (e.g. develop or improve a component, get involved in a key part of the
architecture implementation, implement and test a new model, etc.)
System, Network and Database Administration
- Installation and configuration
- Fine-tuning, performance analysis
- Search for new solutions (e.g. internet connection, communication tools, parallel processing, etc.)
